Considering the necessity of the students’ educational guidance and the critical position of the consultant professor in the professional development of students, this study aimed to assess the satisfaction of students of Sabzevar University of Medical Sciences from the performance of counselors. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out in 350 students of Sabzevar University of Medical Sciences in a census sampling. Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 20 software. Results: The results of the research show that 76.1% of the students are satisfied with the performance of counselors. The highest level of satisfaction was observed in the item of “respecting ethical principles and respect for mutual respect to students” and the least amount of satisfaction related to the item of “the possibility of timely access to the consultant’s professor”. Professors who are skilled and experienced can make changes, positive changes and advisories, which can create enormous changes in students. Therefore, it is suggested that university authorities, by conducting the proper planning of the selection of professors in specialized counseling, and, on the other hand, by inducing the motives of counselors, will witness the most successful process of student counseling.
